Bio
Michelle has worked in the mental health field since 2006 and a licensed therapist since 2009. She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from the University of Arkansas. During undergrad, she served as a case manager for adults suffering from chronic and severe mental illness. Since becoming licensed, Michelle has experience in in-patient acute and subacute treatment, therapeutic day treatment, school based and outpatient therapy. She works with children, teens and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, divorce, life events as well as chronic and severe mental illness. She also enjoys engaging with parents and families for marital, parenting and co-parenting communication.
Michelle grew up in a small town in South Arkansas before attending undergrad and grad school in Fayetteville. NWA is a perfect place for her to still get the personal touches of community with the resources and entertainment of "big city life". She enjoys spending time with her husband and their four children, going to parks and hanging out at the ball fields! In a therapy environment, Michelle strives to make individuals and families feel comfortable and heard. It is important to have a safe space to express and explore your emotions, while also being challenged to reach your full potential.
