Bio

“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” - Fred Rogers

Lindsay believes that children's learning and growth is facilitated through play. Children are able to express themselves during play when words are too hard. As your therapist, Lindsay provides unconditional positive regard in a safe, unbiased environment.

Lindsay is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. She earned her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from John Brown University. She has worked in the mental health field since 2005 in both school-based and out-patient services. Lindsay has specialized training in infant mental health, allowing her to provide services to individuals from infancy up to 48 months. She works with children and families on an array of issues such as anxiety, ADHD, trauma, family adjustments and behavioral issues.

In her personal life, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, watching movies, going on vacation to the beach and working on various craft projects.
