Bio

Kristie Morgan has been a licensed certified social worker for over 20 years. She obtained her undergraduate degrees in psychology and sociology with a minor in counseling from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO. After completing her undergraduate, Kristie worked as a case manager at a community mental health center at Lake of the Ozarks until she went on to complete her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia.

Kristie was a medical social worker in home health and hospice for several years until returning to community mental health work. Kristie has worked with many issues in her time as a mental health professional including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, and personality disorders. Because of her practice of both medical and mental health social work, Kristie has special interest in helping clients who suffer with depression, stress and anxiety related to living with chronic pain and other chronic health issues. She also has training and experience with grief and loss counseling, another of her interests. Kristie also has training in the provision of the polyvagal based SSP (Safe and Sound Protocol) listening system which has been very helpful to many clients.

Kristie has been married to her sweet hubby for 31 years. They have a wonderful daughter who is in college studying to be a special education teacher. She loves to spend time with her family, enjoys cooking, collecting snowmen figurines and teaching the 1’s and 2’s Sunday school class at church, and playing with her Aussie doodle fur baby, Andy.
