Chris is a dually Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Arkansas and Texas. He is a National Certified Counselor through NBCC. He has earned three Masters degrees from Amberton University and The University of North Texas in Professional Counseling, School Counseling, and Education Administration. Chris' first career was in education as a teacher, coach, and school counselor at the high school and college level. He earned the honors of being named Arkansas State Girls Soccer Coach of the Year when he led Rogers High School to a state championship.
As a therapist, Chris works on building rapport and trust to help his clients start living their life. He has experience working in schools, behavioral hospitals, court-ordered, agencies, and private practice. Chris uses an eclectic approach in his sessions, while collaboratively working with the client to create the best plan of action to start healing. One of his goals is to break the stigma of mental health. Chris enjoys working with ages 13 years to elderly Adults who might present with many concerns. Chris is a trained EMDR therapist and utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Gottman Couples Counseling.
Chris is from Texas, but has enjoyed living in Northwest Arkansas for years with his high school sweetheart. He enjoys traveling, cycling, running, soccer, football, hiking, photography, cats, and trying to play the guitar. Along the journey with his clients, Chris hopes to communicate warmth, empathy, and a non-judgment to the person sharing their story.
