Charis is a Licensed Professional Counselor with several years experience in the field of mental health. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from John Brown University in 2015 and went on to complete her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2018. Being in the mental health field since 2013, Charis worked in a variety of settings including school-based, therapeutic day treatment and private practice.

In the past, Charis has enjoyed working with adolescents, teens and adults. Charis has experience in working with clients with ADHD, anxiety, trauma, sleep disturbances, depression, grief and loss, sensory needs, coping with adjustments, relational concerns and behavioral issues. Charis is passionate about neurodiversity such as ADHD, OCD, and various learning disorders. Charis has training in Level one Theraplay and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is looking forward to seeking training in many other areas in order to provide clients and families the care and expertise that they deserve.

Charis’ favorite thing about being a therapist is building relationships and collaborating with clients to identify personalized strategies to solve problems, adapt to change and grow in understanding and compassion. Charis believes that the client is the real expert on their own lives.

When Charis is not seeing clients, she is most likely spending time with loved ones, playing with her dog, trying out new recipes, riding roller coasters or attending concerts.
