I am a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University with degrees in both biology and psychology. I continued my education in counseling and received a Master’s degree in Community Mental Health Counseling from Henderson State University.

I have 19 years’ experience working with children and families, with the past fourteen years as a clinician at Ozark Guidance. I have worked in the Ozark Guidance Early Childhood Center as both an outpatient and therapeutic day treatment center clinician as well as with Project PLAY as an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant in the community providing early intervention and prevention services.

I have worked the past 6 years with the Adult Intensive Services Program which serves chronically mentally ill adults who learn to successfully manage severe bi-polar disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD and schizophrenia. In addition, my husband and I were foster parents from 2007 through 2016 and have officially adopted six children and unofficially adopted one with ages ranging from 8 to 22 years old.

I use a variety of techniques to work with children, families and adults of all ages but have a specific passion for children and families who have experienced the challenges and blessings of providing foster care and/or adopting children.
