The impact of trauma is displayed by children in different ways. In some cases the evidence is outward behavior in other cases it is turned inward. This training is designed for school counselors and school based counselors who work with children of all ages. However, anyone who works with children will benefit from the training and is invited to attend. The content will focus on the identification of trauma and trauma responses. Participants will gain hands on experiences of how to implement strategies in the school and classroom to work with students who have experienced trauma or traumatic experiences.
The training methods used are PowerPoint, lecture, group discussion and experiential activities.
