I have worked in the mental health field since 2006 and a licensed therapist since 2009. I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from the University of Arkansas. During undergrad, I served as a case manager for adults suffering from chronic and severe mental illness. Since becoming licensed, I have experience in in-patient acute and subacute treatment, therapeutic day treatment, school based and outpatient therapy. I work with children, teens and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, divorce, life events as well as chronic and severe mental illness. I also enjoy engaging with parents and families for marital, parenting and co-parenting communication.
Personal: I grew up in a small town in South Arkansas before attending undergrad and grad school in Fayetteville. NWA is a perfect place for me to still get the personal touches of community with the resources and entertainment of "big city life". I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four children, going to parks and hanging out at the ball fields! In a therapy environment I strive to make individuals and families feel comfortable and heard. It is important to have a safe space to express and explore your emotions, while also being challenged to reach your full potential.
