“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” - Fred Rogers

I believe that children learn and growth is facilitated through play. Children are able to express themselves during play when words are too hard. As your therapist, I provide unconditional positive regard in a safe unbiased environment.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. I earned my Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from John Brown University.  I have worked in the mental health field since 2005 in both school-based and out-patient services. I have specialized training in infant mental health allowing me to provide services to individuals from infancy up to 48 months. I work with children and families on an array of issues such as anxiety, ADHD, trauma, family adjustments and behavioral issues.

In my personal life, I like to spend time with my husband and two children, watch movies, go on vacation to the beach and work on various craft projects.
