My Journey

I obtained my Master’s degree in Community Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from John Brown University. I obtained credentials as a Licensed Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) in 2012 and a Clinical Supervisor for LADAC in 2014.

I recently joined the team at Waters Edge, previously I worked as a counselor and program director in Recovery Services at a Northwest Arkansas Community Mental Health.  In my work, I facilitated therapeutic groups and individual sessions with adults who have co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. I work with individuals and couples addressing relational, anger management and trauma issues. I utilize a variety of interventions in my work, including play therapy.  I am also trained in EMDR.  One of the leading techniques recommended for PTSD treatment.

At home, my African Gray (bird) “Sweetie”, is busy entertaining her puppies with her singing abilities and dancing moves.
