“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
― Carl Rogers
Thank you for checking out my bio! Whatever it is that brought you here, I want you to know that I would be thrilled to join you on your journey and provide you with a nonjudgmental space to address your personal goals.
I am a Licensed Associate Counselor with several years experience in the field of mental health. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from John Brown University in 2015 and went on to complete my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2018. Being in the mental health field since 2013, I have worked in school-based, therapeutic day treatment and outpatient settings.
In the past, I have enjoyed working with children, adolescents, teens and adults. I have experience in working with clients with ADHD, anxiety, trauma, sleep disturbances, depression, grief and loss, sensory needs, relational concerns and behavioral issues. I am passionate about neurodiversity, including but not limited to Autism, ADHD, OCD, and various learning disorders. I have training in Level one Theraplay and I am looking forward to seeking training in many other areas to continue offering my clients and families the care and expertise that they deserve.
My favorite thing about being a therapist is building relationships with my clients and collaborating with clients to come up with personalized ways to solve problems, adapt to change and grow in self-understanding and compassion. It is my belief that client’s are the real expert on their own lives. It is an incredible joy and privilege for me to assist clients in achieving the goals that they are working towards.
When I am not seeing clients, you will find me hanging out with my Yorkie, shopping, trying out new recipes, riding roller coasters or attending concerts.
